Who is Eligible For the Scholarship?
- Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible. You should:
- have applied for and been granted admission to a taught Master’s degree program at the UK campus of the University of Birmingham for the 2023/24 academic year.
- be considered “domiciled” in one of the chosen nations. Please see the following list.
- for the purposes of paying tuition, be considered an international student by the university.
- In September or October of 2023, you will begin a full-time course at the UK campus of the University.
- should have a letter from the university offering a Master’s degree taught.
- Must be from one of the countries that are eligible. Be exceptional academically and be able to demonstrate this in the scholarship application statement.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an overall grade of first class or better (at least 70% in the UK system).
- For instance, the base identical grade prerequisite in the US, India, Nigeria, and China are as per the following:
- 3.5 out of a possible 4.0 on the US GPA scale.
- 70% in the Indian system, 3.5 out of 4.0, 4.5 out of 5.0, or 6.2 out of 7.0 in the Nigerian system, 85% out of 7.0 in the Chinese system, and 90% out of 7.0 in the Chinese system.
